Potter Township Planning Commission

 

May 25, 2010

 

 

Members Present:  Dick Decker, Ron Grove, Karl Eysenbach, Paul Sampsell

 

Members Absent:  Pam Winter, Lynda Powell

 

Call to Order:  Chairman Ron Grove called to meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.

 

Approval of Minutes:  The minutes of April 27, 2010 were approved on motion by Paul Sampsell and second by Dick Decker.  Motion carried.

 

Citizens Concerns:  Jeff Peters presented a plan of duplex dwellings for Chip Walker for on top of the Centre Hall Mountain.  This would require a map change from open forest to residential.  Following lengthy discussion it was noted his next contact should be with PennDot for the highway occupancy permit.

 

Zoning Officer’s Report:  Zoning Officer Jeff McClellan reported on an upcoming meeting with an individual from General Code about codifying the zoning book. 

 

Correspondence:

 

  1.   Final plan – Matthew T. Spigelmyer Subdivision (Replot of Lot 5R into Lot 5R-B and

  Lot 5R-C) CCPCDO File No.:  39-10

 

Supervisors Report:  Supervisor Dick Decker noted the township secretary sent a letter to Kevin Daniels and they have not heard anything concerning his resignation from the Planning Commission.  The Planning Commission will interview the candidates and make a recommendation to the supervisors.  The following individuals have expressed an interest in serving:  Mary Carol Fryer, Mike Troyan, Tom Doman and Mike Fuller who was interviewed previously.  Chairman Grove will contact them as an interview.  The candidate interviews possibly could be at an executive session for the meeting next week.

 

New Business:

 

Chairman Grove noted ordinances from Spring Township about alternate energy and wells and boreheads.  These will be distributed to the Planning Commission for review.

 

The meeting with representatives of Mountain View Estates will be discussed at the next meeting.

 

Dick Decker noted Lynda Powell is working with a student on the Grange Fair display.

 

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. on motion by Dick Decker and second by Karl Eysenbach.
