Citizens Concerns: None
Zoning Officer’s Report: Zoning Officer Jeff McClellan distributed the Ray Walker development plan for on top of the Centre Hall Mountain. Mr. Walker requested a zoning change from open forest to residential in order to erect duplexes on the property. The trailer park is zoned commercial. Discussion followed on his request and it was thought the designer of the plan should attend a meeting to talk with the group. The zoning officer will make contact.
Supervisors Report: Dick Decker reported a representative from Penn Terra talked with the supervisors on the Sheetz lot at the Old Fort which will also include a bank and another entity. The next meeting will be a joint meeting with the supervisors.
Correspondence: None
Old Business:
The zoning officer had nothing new to present on the wind farms and he has not heard from Harry Burd about the outdoor furnaces. Discussion followed on the sign ordinance. It was decided the Planning Commission would work on the ordinance.
It was thought The Pennsylvania Standards for Residential Site Development should be provided as an option to builders in the township and would need to be reviewed case by case. The recodification of the zoning book was discussed and it was thought to reference the standards in the book at this time. Jeff McClellan will check with legal counsel for the verbiage to reference the book. He will also contact Penns Valley Publishing who produced the book the last time on the availability of the publisher as to meet with the Planning Commission. Dick Decker noted funds were budgeted for the recodification.
New Business:
Prior to the meeting being called to order, Chairman Grove reviewed the information to be included in the township newsletter.
Lynda Powell had nothing new to present for the Grange Fair exhibit.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. on motion by Karl Eysenbach and second by Lynda Powell.
