Potter Township Planning Commission
February 23, 2010
Members Present: Dick Decker, Pam Winter, Ron Grove, Karl Eysenbach, Paul Sampsell
Members Absent: Lynda Powell, Kevin Daniels
Others Present: Jeff McClellan
Call to Order: Chairman Ron Grove called to meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: The minutes of February 2, 2010 were approved on motion by Pam Winter and second by Paul Sampsell. Motion carried.
Citizens Concerns: None
Zoning Officer’s Report: Zoning Officer Jeff McClellan distributed his report. At this time, nothing has been done with the codification of the zoning book. He discussed the plans for a feed store in the Bierly equipment dealership.
Supervisors Report: The supervisors agreed to meet with the Spring Creek Watershed about wells and boreheads on March 23, 2010 with the Planning Commission. Cedar Run purchased the land above Country Club Park and are going to complete phase one.

Plan – Lot division and replot, Potter Township,
Grantor/Grantee: Smith-Pletcher Home Association, Inc. (Tax Parcel No. 20-320-64)
CCPCDO File No. 13-10. The proposed replotting of the above reference property, replotting the previously approved Lot 2 into Lot 2R.
Old Business:
The wind ordinance was passed and can be removed for old business. Other items to be removed are: missing definitions and accessory heights. Dick Decker thought a wind farm ordinance should be addressed. Discussion followed on wind farms and everyone thought the Planning Commission should pursue an ordinance. It was thought the towers would be over the height limit. Jeff McClellan will discuss with Bob Rayman. He also noted not hearing from Harry Burd concerning the building code requirements for outdoor furnaces.
New Business:
Brenda Burd, township secretary was inquiring for input from the Planning Commission for the newsletter. Discussion followed on including the approval of the wind ordinance and the display at Grange Fair. Jeff McClellan will review with Brenda Burd about including general information on the sewage management program.
Chairman Grove read a letter from member Kevin Daniels explaining his absences from the meetings. All agreed to allow him more time to work on his scheduling issues.
The fair exhibit was not discussed due to Lynda Powell not being in attendance.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. on motion by Karl Eysenbach and second by Pam Winter.
