Potter Township Planning Commission

 

November 4, 2009

 

 

 

Members Present:  Dick Decker, Pam Winter, Karl Eysenbach, Lynda Powell

 

Members Absent:  Paul Sampsell, Kevin Daniels, Ron Grove

 

Call to Order:  Chairman Dick Decker called to meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

 

Approval of Minutes:  The minutes of October 27, 2009 meeting were approved as presented on motion by Lynda Powell and second by Karl Eysenbach.  Motion carried.

 

Citizens Concerns:  None

 

Zoning Officer’s Report:  Zoning Officer, Jeff McClellan noted he has been receiving numerous complaints about domestic animals.  His report was distributed and questioned on the Lush permit noting it is permit number three.  He is working on the small wind ordinance and will send to Chairman Decker for distribution to the other members to be discussed at the next meeting.

 

Supervisors Report:  Chairman Decker noted the Park & Rec fee for the Dashem Subdivision has been received.

 

Correspondence: 

 

1.      Centre County Planning & Community Development Office, October 27, 2009, RE:  Notice of Receipt & Declaration of Intent, Final Subdivision of Lands of Howard W. & Jessica J. Dashem and lot Addition from Lands of Dashem to Lands of Donald & Teresa Grove, CCPCDO File No:  163-09.

 

Old Business: 

 

Lynda Powell noted she reviewed the sign ordinance and made comments.  She also distributed sample ordinances and the resources available for assistance.  She will meet with the zoning officer to review and update the definitions.

 

The information from the Spring Creek Water Shed on the Wells & Boreholes Draft Ordinance was discussed.  Karl Eysenbach will review and make suggestions.  Chairman Decker will check if the supervisors want the Planning Commission to pursue with the ordinance. 

 

 

 

 

New Business:

 

Chairman Decker asked for all to complete the questionnaire about the park ground in the Grapevine owned by the municipalities of Centre Hall Borough, Gregg and Potter Townships.  They need to complete a plan to DCNR and note why the desire to farm part of the ground and the use for the remaining portion.  All completed questionnaires would be appreciated.

 

Karl Eysenbach asked about the brush clean up in the township.  He would appreciate having it scheduled later in the year and possibly to have more than one time.  Chairman Decker will check on the scheduling.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. on motion by Pam Winter and second by Lynda Powell.
