Potter Township Planning Commission

 

April 7, 2009

 

 

Members Present:  Dick Decker, Pam Winter, Karl Eysenbach, Lynda Powell, Ron Grove, Paul Sampsell, Kevin Daniels

 

Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Dick Decker.

 

Approval of Minutes:  A motion was made by Ron Grove and second by Pam Winter to approve the minutes of March 3, 2009 as presented.  Motion carried.

 

Citizens Concerns:  None

 

Zoning Officer’s Report:  Nine permits were issued last month. 

 

Supervisors’ Report:  The zoning map changes were submitted as a unit and the vote at the meeting was a tie.  Therefore, there will not be any changes to the zoning map.  June 4, 2009 will be a public meeting at the Centre Hall Lions Club on the Sewage Management.  Pam Winter distributed packets explaining what will be presented at the meeting such as financing programs, administration, the codification of the ordinance, etc.

5.      Franson Engineering & Surveying, March 25, 2009, RE:  County Club Park, summary of discussions concerning possible future development of residue of County Club Park subdivision.

 

Old Business:  The zoning officer discussed a site visit he performed for the individual to erect a windmill in the village district.  Discussion followed on where windmills would be permitted in the township.  Pros and cons were heard from the Planning Commission on changing the lot sizes from three acres to two acres. 

New Business:  The next meeting will be April 28, 2009.  Discussed what zoning issues will be reviewed.  The zoning officer will address the parking spaces for businesses.  Lynda Powell will reviewed the zoning book for missing definitions and comprise a list to be reviewed.

 

A motion by Karl Eysenbach and second by Paul Sampsell to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m.
