Potter Township Planning Commission
February 24, 2009
Members Present: Dick Decker, Pam Winter, Ron Sweitzer, Ron Grove, Paul Sampsell, Lynda Powell, Karl Eysenbach
Members Absent: None
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
by Chairman Dick Decker.
Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Ron Sweitzer and second by Pam Winter to approve the minutes of February 3, 2009 as presented. Motion carried.
Zoning Officer’s Report: None
Supervisors’ Report: None
Correspondence:
1. Thomas C. Bowes & Associates, Inc., Re: Component 2 Planning Module Code #08-549; Component 4a for Mary Mahaffy Commercial Use.
Thomas Bowes presented some background information on the commercial use of the property and the plan to the Planning Commission. He indicated the supervisors will need to determine who will be authorized for recording the daily flows of the sewage system. A motion was made by Lynda Powell and second by Pam Winter for the Planning Commission to answer the questions and sign Component 4a. Motion carried with Ron Sweitzer abstaining.
Old Business:
Chairman Decker noted the zoning officer should be in attendance at Planning Commission work session meetings which are the fourth Tuesday of the month. The zoning officer is to provide information in advance on two zoning issues for the Planning Commission to review.
Pam Winter reported DEP from Williamsport and the SEO will be meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2009 to conduct the preliminary review of the sewage module, worksheet, maps, etc. The SEO will discuss the review with the supervisors at their March meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. on motion by Ron Sweitzer and second by Pam Winter.
