Potter Township Planning Commission

 

September 9, 2008

 

 

Members Present:  Dick Decker, Pam Winter, Ron Grove, Karl Eysenbach, Ron Sweitzer, Mark Fortney

 

Members Absent:  Monty Strouse

 

Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Dick Decker.

 

Approval of Minutes:  A motion by Ron Sweitzer and second by Pam Winter to approve the minutes as submitted.  Motion carried.

 

Zoning Officer’s Report:  No comments.

 

Supervisor’s Report:  Approved moving ahead with On-Lot Septic Management with the pumper qualification section.  The only modification from the original was using the four year pumping and eight year inspection.  The solicitor and SEO will revise the original draft and SEO will review with DEP.

 

Act 537 Study for Country Club Park was approved.  The study shows about twenty single family dwellings can be added to the proposed plant beyond the capacity needed for the Meadows five year growth and present Country Club Park dwellings.

Old Business:

 

Exhibit at the fair went well.

 

Chairman Decker has not heard from Rick Day on the Septic Map Update.  It is thought to invite him to meet with the supervisors also.

 

New Business

 

Mr. Lockard of Lockard Surveying & Mapping was present with the Rimmey Sewage Planning Module.  The module has already been signed by the zoning officer and SEO.  Motion to sign the module was made by Mark Fortney and second by Ron Sweitzer.  Motion carried.

 

Samples of wind power ordinances were given to the members for review.  Chairman Decker will inquiry of the supervisors if they want an ordinance drafted.  Mark Fortney stated there is an ordinance not permitting structures over 35 feet.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. on motion by Mark Fortney and second by Ron Grove.
