Regular Meeting
July 1, 2008
Members Present: Dick Decker, Pam Winter, Mark Fortney, Karl Eysenbach, Ron Grove
Members Absent: Ron Sweitzer, Monty Strouse
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Chairman Dick Decker.
Approval of Minutes: A motion by Mark Fortney and second by Pam Winter to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried.
Zoning Officer’s Report: None
Supervisor’s Report: None
Correspondence: None
Old Business: The revised draft of the On-Lot Sewage Ordinance was discussed and corrections/additions noted to be incorporated into the final document. Discussion continued on what information would be needed from the company pumping the sewage and how these forms would be distributed. Mark Fortney will make the corrections to the draft and the commission will vote on the ordinance at the July 22, 2008 meeting and then be presented to the supervisors at the August meeting.
Pam Winter provided some phamplets which could be placed on the exhibit at the fair. She will provide the disk to Chairman Decker for him to make copies. She also indicated the county has a map of where the septic tanks are located but unsure if this is only for new systems. More information will be obtained for the next meeting. Chairman Decker has not been successful in contacting Rick Day. However, the department indicated someone else would be able provide the demonstration and this should transpire next week.
Mark Fortney questioned if the Centre Hall/Potter Area Joint Authority is an organization that would be able to assist in some of the management for the township. The authority has two representatives from the township. Chairman Decker will check.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. on motion by Pam Winter and second by Karl Eysenbach.
