Members Present: Monty Strouse, Ron Grove, Ron Sweitzer, Pam Winter, Mark Fortney, Karl Eysenbach, and Dick Decker.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Chairman Dick Decker.
Approval of Mintues: Motion was made by Monty Strouse and second by Ron Sweitzer to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Motion carried.
Zoning Officers’ Report: Zoning officer’s report distributed and reviewed. Discussion was for the zoning officer to include more information as to the location address of the property.
Supervisors Report:
Ron Sweitzer discussed the conditional use of the RJM (Shaner Group) property.
Correspondence: None
Chairman Decker asked the members if they wanted a second meeting in April since The Commission is scheduled to meet on April 22, 2008 which is Election Day. Motion made by Karl Eysenbach and second by Monty Strouse to cancel the meeting.
Old Business: Reviewed the zoning map changes the Planning Commission had been considering along Rt. 322. After discussion, Mark Fortney made a motion to keep all properties under consideration for change south of 322 in the Prime Ag Zoning and to change the Georges Valley Prime Ag Zoning areas and a small area in the far northwest corner of the Township to Open and Forested Zoning. Second by Monty Strouse. Motion carried.
PCI District change was discussed. Motion was made by Mark Fortney and second by Ron Grove to delay the change until Rt. 322 highway upgrade routing has been determined. Motion carried.
The following will be presented to the supervisors for consideration:
Ron Grove and Karl Eysenbach will meet and review the sewage ordinance, comments from the Planning Commission, Township Solicitor and SEO. They will function as a working group to mesh comments into a revised draft for consideration by the Supervisors. Their draft will be reviewed by the Planning Commission prior to forwarding to the Supervisors.
The public hearing on the addition of Transient Housing as PCI District Conditional Use will be March 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Planning Commission members who are able are encouraged to attend.
Lynda Powell introduced her findings on the Smith Pletcher minor subdivision with Sheetz.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:41 p.m. by a motion made by Mark Fortney, seconded by Ron Sweitzer and passed by a vote of the members present.
