Potter Township Planning Commission

September 11, 2007 Meeting

 

Members Present: Monty Strouse, Dick Decker, Ron Sweitzer, Jake Tanis and Lucy Curran.

Members Absent:  Mark Fortney.

Call to Order:  Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM by Acting Chairman, Monty Strouse.

Approval of Minutes:  A motion was made by Lucy Curran and seconded by Ron Sweitzer approve the minutes from the August 7, 2007, meeting.  All members present voted in favor to approve the minutes.

Zoning Officer’s Report:  None.

Supervisor’s Report:  None.

Correspondence: 

  1. Franson Engineering & Surveying 08/12/07.  Re:  Final Subdivision Plan for Mountainview Estates, Phase 1 (5th review).  Approval of the plan is conditional upon receipt of the HOP for work within the right of way.
  2. Centre County Planning Office 09/24/07.  Re:  Dick A. & Cynthia K. Subdivision (Lots 1R & 4). The Office will consider the plan approval when all listed conditions are met.
  3. Centre County Planning Office 08/24/07.  Re:  Final Subdivision Plan – Lands of John H. & Mary Anne Mahaffy Replot located in Potter and Gregg Townships.  The plan has been reviewed, approved and signed.
  4. Centre County Planning Office 08/24/07.  Re:  Final Plan – Lot Addition and Replot of Lands of Conrad D. & Linda Shakely Subdivision.  The plan has been reviewed, approved and signed. 

Old Business: 

  • The Commission signed off on Franklin M. Horner Subdivision Plan (Tax Parcel 20-8-89B, Lots 1R-R, 5 & 6).

New Business: 

  • Rod Humphrey resigned as Chairman of the Planning Commission on August 14, 2007.

  • Craig Weidensaul (who previously served on the Commission for 8 years) was approved to fill the vacant position with a motion from Jake Tanis, which was seconded by Dick Decker.  All members present voted in favor to add Craig as a new member.

 

  • The Commission was given copies of the revised draft of the Ordinance Governing Municipal Management of Individual and Community On-Lot Sewage Disposal Systems in Potter Township, Centre County, PA.  The Commission will review the draft ordinance and provide comment at the next meeting.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:53 PM by a motion from Dick Decker that was seconded by Jake Tanis.
