Potter Township Planning Commission

February 7, 2007 Meeting

 

Members Present: Rod Humphrey, Monty Strouse, Dick Decker, Lucy Curran, and Jake Tanis.

 

Members Absent:  Dave Henning and Mark Fortney.

 

Call to Order:  Meeting called to order at 7:02 PM by Chairman, Rod Humphrey.

 

Approval of Minutes:  A motion was made by Dick Decker and seconded by Monty Strouse approve the minutes from the January 23, 2007, meeting.  All members present voted in favor to approve the minutes.

 

Zoning Officer’s Report:  None.

 

Supervisor’s Report:  None.

 

Correspondence: 

  1. Centre County Planning Office 02/01/07.  Re:  Granted time extension (until May 1) request by John H. and Mary Anne Manhaffy for their Final Subdivision Plan.
  2. DEP Stephanie A. Wharton 01/23/07.  Re:  Sewage Planning Exemption denied for Agnes Homan Subdivision Code 07-042, APS# 604525.  Must reapply with new specification.

 

Old Business:  None.

 

New Business: 

·         Jake Tanis suggested that the next public meeting to discuss Prime Ag should be scheduled in March, prior to cultivating season.  In addition, he suggested that the Planning Commission consider a weed ordinance.

·         Monty suggested that Bob Raymond, Township Solicitor, should attend the next public meeting.

·         Rod will present a draft Planning Commission update for the next Township Newsletter at the February 27, 2007, meeting.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:54 PM by motion made by Jake Tanis and seconded by Lucy Curran.
