Potter Township Planning Commission

  January 3, 2007 Meeting

 

Members

Present: Rod Humphrey, Monty Strouse, Dick Decker, Lucy Curran, and Mark Fortney and Jacob Tannis.

Absent: Dave Henning.

Call To Order:

Meeting called to order at 7:15 PM by Chairman Rod Humphrey.

Approval of Minutes:  Motion by Monty Strouse Jacob Tannis and a second by Jacob Tannis to approve the minutes for the December5, 2006 meeting. All members present voted in favor.

Zoning Officers Report: None

Supervisors Report: Monty Strouse reported that Jeff Wingard, Zoning Officer had resigned.  Some residents are concerned with increase in Kennels in the Township and the Supervisors would like the Planning Commission to review the zoning with respect to Kennels.

  • Wm. And Judith Heald, 406 Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills Re: a request to consider changing the Prime Ag Zoning Classification on their property and adjacent areas.

 

 

 

Old Business:

  • Work session scheduled for January 23,2007 will be devoted to analyzing the comments from the recent public meetings on Prime Ag Zoning.

New Business:  

  • Rod Humphrey was elected chairman for 2007, Dave Henning was elected Vice Chairman and Lucy Curran was elected Secretary.
  • Rod Humphrey reported on discussions that occurred at the Supervisors meeting involving the SEO and a community resident.
  • During review of correspondence, it was noted that CCPCDO file No. 277-06 has a medical office as a Conditional Use In Home Office and dose not have Commercial Zoning.

 

Adjournment  approved at 8:20 PM on a motion by Monty Strouse and a second by Lucy Curran.
