December 5, 2006 Meeting

 

Members

Present: Rod Humphrey, Monty Strouse, Dick Decker, Lucy Curran, and Mark Fortney and Jacob Tannis.

Absent: Dave Henning.

Call To Order:

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Rod Humphrey.

Approval of Minutes:  Motion by Jacob Tannis and a second by Lucy Curran to approve the minutes for the November 8, 2006 meeting. All members present voted in favor.

Zoning Officers Report: None

Supervisors Report: None.

Correspondence:

  • Letter from Franson Engineering & Surveying Re: Minor Land Development Plan for Scott and Kimberly Burk.
  • Centre County Planning Office Re: Time extension request – Final plan- Carl D & Doris Z. Smith etc. Subdivision of Tax parcel 20-6-8. CCPCDO File No. 27-06.
  • Centre County Planning Office Re: Notice to Municipality of Receipt of Subdivision Plan – Sinking Creek Subdivision – Residential lots 1-63 and Natural Area Lot 64- CCPCDO File No. 144-05.
  • Centre County Planning Office Re: Time extension request- Final Subdivision Plan- David D. and Darlene R. Bierly Subdivision Tax Parcel 20-5-24 into 4 lots (Minor Subdivision) CCPCDO File No. 27-06.
  • Michael A. Biglio, PE, District Traffic Engineer, Engineering District 2-0 Re: Lichty Engineering – Sinking Creek Development Traffic Impact Study.

Old Business:

  • Rod Humphrey reported on the results of his investigation into Transferable Development rights.
  • A copy of a Model Agricultural Zoning Ordinance was distributed.

New Business:  

  • Stan Wallace of Nittany Engineering Presented a Final Subdivision (Lease Areas) and Final Land Development plan for Mid Penn Development, Tax Parcel 25-5-40B for final approval and signatures. The plan was approved on a Motion by Rod Humphrey and a second by Monty Strouse.
  • Planning Commission Meeting Schedule for 2007 was established as follows:

  • Jacob Tannis reported on a recent meeting he attended of the Penns Valley Comprehensive Planning group.
  • Rod Humphrey shared information on  training meeting scheduled for January 24, 2007 in Harrisburg between 6 and 8:45 PM. A few members may attend.

 Adjournment  approved at 8:20 PM on a motion by Monty Strouse and a second Mark Fortney.
