Potter Township Planning Commission

June 6, 2006 Meeting

 

Members

  Present: Rod Humphrey, Monty Strouse, Dick Decker, Jacob Tannis, Dave Henning, Lucy Curran, and Mark Fortney

  Absent: None

Call To Order:

Meeting called to order at 7:03 PM by Chairman Rod Humphrey.

Approval of Minutes:  Motion by Monty Strouse and a second by Mark Fortney to approve the minutes for the May 23, 2006 meeting. All members present voted in favor as submitted.

Zoning Officers Report: None

Supervisors Report: Last meeting was mostly a work session getting ready for June 12, 2006 public meeting on new Building Zoning Permit Ordinance.

Correspondence was shared and reviewed by the committee including the following:

  • Information from the Penns valley Recreation Study Group.
  • Letter from Centre County Planning Office, RE: Conditional Approval of Dollar General Store Land development Plan-CCPC File No. 68-06.
  • Letter from Centre County Planning Office, RE: Mr. Adam Scheidel, Tax Parcel 20-5-40A - Minor Land Development- CCPC File No. 108-06.
  • Letter from Centre County Planning Office, RE: Grocery Outlet Store Land Development proposal – Swan Ice Cream- Tax Parcel 25-5-40B- CCPC File No. 130-06.
  • Letter from Centre County Planning Office, RE: Final Approval of Subdivision Plan of Joshua A. and Doris A. Tobey Lot 3 into Lots 3A and 5. CCPC File No. 15-06.
  • Letter from Centre County Planning Office, RE: Final Development Plan for State College Baseball Club, Inc. Proposed Concession Stand. CCPC File No. 66-03.

 

Old Business: General discussion of tasks to be worked on at the June 27, 06 Work Session. Planning Commission will be coming up with a survey for prime agriculture zoning and hope to have it ready for mailing by the end of July.

New Business:  J. Tannis reported that there was some discussion on wind energy at the Penns Valley Comprehensive Plan Meeting.  We will try to obtain a sample ordinance.
