February 28, 2006 Meeting

 

Members

  Present: Rod Humphrey, Monty Strouse, Dick Decker, Lucy Curran, Jacob Tannis.

  Absent: Mark Fortney, Dave Henning.

Call To Order:

Meeting called to order at 7:20 PM by Chairman Rod Humphrey

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes from the February 7,2006 meeting were distributed and approved on a motion  by Monty Strouse and a second by Lucy Curran.

Zoning Officer Report: New Zoning is Mr. Jeff Wingert, Cell Phone 360-2789, or 234-7745 or 364-2456. Mail should go to 124 Short Road.

Correspondence was shared and reviewed by the committee including the following:

1.      Centre County Planning Commission review of Final Subdivision Plan of  David D. and Darlene R. Bierly (Subdivision of Tax Parcel 20-5-24 into 4 Lots)

2.        Letter from Melicent Sammis, Secretary of the Sinking Creek Concerned Citizens transmitting a report prepared by Bucek and Associates, Inc.  titled “Evaluation of On-Site Septic Disposal Impacts on Ground Water Quality in Proposed Sinking Creek Subdivision, Potter Township, Centre County

3.        Copy of Ordinance No.2 of 2005 “Road Standards Ordinance”

Supervisor's Report: Nothing Reported

Old Business: None

New Business:

1.      Discussed  Potter Township Zoning Map Vs Penns Valley Comprehensive Map and possible changes. Copies were distributed for members to study.

2.      Discussed  Ordinance #1 2006 (Parks Recs/Open Spaces)

3.      Rod Humphrey and Jacob Tannis Reported on a 2/21/06 meeting they had attended with the Penns Valley Regional Recreation Study Group (PVRRSG). Group is planning to obtain a grant to evaluate park and recreational needs in the valley.
