Subdivision: Approved w/conditions at supervisors meeting on 9/5/05
Minor Subdivision
proposed via Tim Crawl (Potter Township
resident) Subdivision signed off on by SEO, Although Zoning officer signature
missing from design. Mark Fortney motioned
to sign off on request (conditionally) providing Zoning officer’s signature
had been affixed to design, could be verified.
2nded by Dave Henning, motion passed without decent.
Sinking Creek
Subdivision: Presented by Stan Wallace, Nittany Engineering
228 Acres +/- containing 74 lots averaging 1+ acre - 60 acre lots. Approximately 1/3 of land to designated as recreational
area (primarily wetlands now, unbuildable) with no vehicular traffic allowed (foot traffic only)
Citizens
Concerns were recognized: Primary concern was how water for current adjoining
properties, Several residence expressed concern about
wells drying up now, high levels of mud etc.
Aquifer’s ability to sustain 74 additional homes was the major concern,
and residents concerns were noted, additionally on lot septic was also a major
concern, as well as additional traffic concerns on township access road (Sinking
Creek Road).
Letters of concern were received from:
Mr & Mrs Smeltzer, Mr and Mrs Hockenberry,
Mr and Mrs Cummings, Carol and Susan
Walker, Mr and Mrs Ramsey and Minera Bucek
and will be forwarded on to Township Supervisors for review.
In attendance for discussion of Sinking Creek Subdivision who signed in were:
Melicent Sammis, Jay and Laura Young, Mr and Mrs Cummings, Mr and Mrs Ramsey,
Carol and Susan Walker, Mr and Mrs Waltz, Brandi Marks, and Frank Henry, all
of which has significant concerns about the Sinking Creek Subdivision.
Stan Wallace will be back on Oct 4th
to ask for Approval.
