5/3/05  Meeting Minutes

Present: Monty Strouse, Dave Henning, Mark Fortney, Barbara Coopey, Jake Tanis, Brooks Harris Absent:  Rod Humphrey  

 

Approval of Minutes:  Motion to approve the minutes by Monty S.  Second by Jake T.

Citizens Concerns: B & J Dutrow, who live adjacent to the Mountainview Estates, had water concerns.  In Sept 04 they had basement flooding from the ME retention pond.

Zoning Officer’s Report: none 

Supervisor’s Report: Supr and PC will have a joint mtg before Sept to examine the PV comp plan. 

 

Subdivision/Land Development: Mountainview Estates – Component 4A Sewage Facilities Planning Module, motion to sign Monty S, second Dave H.

 

Correspondence:  Larry Campbell – time extension, Ashford Manor – surety reduction #2 for Franson;  Nevin Long - lot addition and replots; Penn State Urban Forestry News and Sylvan Communities looking for articles, picture contributions; DEP completed review and approved  sewage planning for G. Hornbein

 

Other: Brooks H will compose letter on Mountainview Estates to send to supr – main issues PT ordinance on stormwater plans with preliminary plans, current traffic study insufficient  and should be expanded to include to 45/144 intersection, existing plan needs to include turning lanes and property lines and right-of-ways, recreation facilities inadequate.

 PC will cancel Sept 27 mtg in order for members to attend the Sept 26 PVPC mtg for the PV comp plan.

 

Penns Valley Planning Comm Report:   September 26 is for all twp supr and pc members to meet to discuss plan.  The aim is for the comp plan to be adopted Oct 5.  This will replace the PT comp plan.  Dave H distributed minutes from the last PVPC mtg.
