2/1/05  Meeting Minutes

Present: Monty Strouse, Dave Henning, Mark Fortney, Barbara Coopey, Jake Tanis, Brooks Harris, Rod Humphrey  

 

Approval of Minutes:  Motion to approve the minutes by  Monty S.  Second by Save H.

Citizens Concerns: none

Zoning Officer’s Report: none 

Supervisor’s Report: Supervisors did not have a meeting yet.

 

Subdivision/Land Development:

Mountainview Estates – represented by John Miknis; preliminary subdivision plan revised Jan 24, 2005; letter from CHPWA can supply 27 EDU taps; members reviewed HRG Jan 17, 2005 comments; referring to Nov 2004 PC mtg, members reviewed  Mountainview E’s progress – PC wants HRG’s position on the traffic study, John M will send Brooks the Trans Assoc response to HRG July 2004 letter, sight distance should be noted on plan, road layout was changed, PC needs copy of CHPSA letter, PC needs letter from Zoning Officer.

General comments – how to connect this development to CH via walk/bike path, twp to discuss with the developer the municipalities zoning act in which developer can either donate land or give twp money toward supporting community recreation land, what phase would ball fields be completed in the storm water basin area, lot #1 is zoned residential.

 

Correspondence:  HRG letter on Mountaniview Estates

 

Other:  joint mtg with PT Supr on Jan 7 at 7:15; we should review comp plan (local, regional, county) at some future mtgs, Twp is planning to review theirs after the county releases theirs, PT’s plan review will be put out on bid and ordinances will be updated;

 

Penns Valley Planning Comm Report:  Dave H handed out draft chapter of public facilities, one suggestion coming from PVPC is to form a regional parks and rec in partnership with the school district.  Next mtg is Feb 28 in Gregg Twp building.
