BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WORK SESSION OF MARCH 24, 2009

 

A work session of the Potter Township Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Sewage Enforcement and Zoning was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the Township Building, 124 Short Road, Spring Mills, PA.  Supervisors Tom Sharer, Jake Tanis, III, Bob Corman, Dick Decker and Ron Sweitzer attended; Planning Commission members H. Paul Sampsell, Karl Eysenbach, Kevin Daniels and Ron Grove (Dick Decker & Pam Winter attended in another capacity); Sewage Enforcement Officers Charles Herr and Pamela Winter, Zoning Officer Jeff McClellan, Solicitor Robert Rayman and Secretary Brenda Burd attended.  Lynda Powell was absent.

 

Ann Glaser attended as a guest. 

 

At 7:00 P.M. Chairman Sharer called the meeting to order by asking everyone to stand and pledge allegiance to the flag.

 

Country Club Park (CCP) Line-of-Credit (LOC)

·        Tom presented the CCP $150,000 LOC papers for approval.  Ron Sweitzer made a motion, seconded by Dick to sign the LOC papers; motion carried.  Signed.

·        Bob Corman made a motion, seconded by Ron Sweitzer authorizing Tom Sharer and Brenda Burd to handle the LOC loan closing; motion carried.

·        Bob Corman made a motion that the Board of Supervisors review all bills from Nittany Engineering to ensure we pay only CCP bills and that Meadows’ costs are all separated out, seconded by Ron Sweitzer, motion carried.

 

At 7:07 P.M. the meeting was turned over to Mr. Herr who presented the proposed sewage management program which has been approved by DEP.  He presented three maps of the Township: 1. Legend of Potter Township, 2. Geologic/Soils and 3. Floodplain areas with wetlands.  These 3-maps will be made available for public inspection at the Zoning Office. 

 

Bob Rayman gave a review of Part 5-Sewage Management Program that has changed.

 

 Bob Corman made a motion to proceed with public hearing, seconded by Dick Decker, motion carried.  Thursday, June 4, 2009 was chosen for the hearing date and Brenda was asked to check into a larger facility for the location of the hearing.

 

Adjournment

At 9:10 P.M. Ron Sweitzer made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Jake; meeting adjourned.
