BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

SPECIAL MEETING OF MARCH 23, 2006

 

 

A special meeting of the Potter Township Board of Supervisors was held on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 6:00 P.M. at the Township Building, 124 Short Road, Spring Mills, PA with Supervisors Monty Strouse, Bob Corman, Richard Poorman and Tom Sharer present.  Also attending were Solicitor Robert Rayman, Secretary Brenda Burd and Sewage Enforcement Officer Chuck Herr.  Paul Zerby was absent.

 

Vice Chairman Strouse called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. and immediately recessed the regular meeting and called an executive session on a potential legal issue.

 

At 7:35 P.M. Vice Chairman Strouse reconvened the regular meeting.  

 

  • They discussed the problems of not having three-signatures on the Occupancy Permits and how to resolve this issue.  They decided to have Bob Rayman draft a proposed ordinance on the procedures of issuing permits.
  • They decided Chuck Herr and Rick Hampton should meet and review all sign-off sheets (Occupancy Permits) issued to date.
  • They discussed changing the files to a tax parcel basis and the possibility of hiring someone to accomplish this task.
  • Tom advised Bob Rayman they met with Centre Hall Borough and Gregg Township on the Penn State land and committed to purchase the land. 
  • Chuck discussed some issues with State College Baseball field.

·        Tom discussed keeping open items on the work session agendas to be sure they are resolved and not lost.  Bob R. said they need to get back to keeping their work sessions as work sessions.

At 7:43 P.M. Vice Chairman Strouse adjourned the meeting.
