BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

MEETING OF MAY 3, 2004           

                                                                                        

The first monthly meeting of the Potter Township Board of Supervisors was held on Monday, May 3, 2004 in Township Building #2, 124 Short Road, Spring Mills, PA with Supervisors Paul Zerby, Monty Strouse, Bob Corman, Rich Poorman and Tom Sharer present.  Also attending were Road Superintendent Budd Brooks, Zoning Officer Jeff McClellan, Solicitor Robert Rayman, and Secretary Brenda Burd.

 

Chairman Zerby called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

 

Minutes of the April 12, 2004 meeting were approved as presented on a motion by Paul and seconded by Rich.  Motion carried unanimously.  

 

Citizens Concerns – none.

 

Rick Bair, CPA

·        Presented Potter Township Financial Statement/Auditor’s Report for period ending12/31/03.

 

Mrs. Phyllis Morris

·        Mrs. Morris wanted to discuss their proposed pond previously denied by the Supervisors.  Bob R. told her the time for appeal is over and the matter cannot be discussed.

 

Secretary’s Report

·        Presented Municipal Response request for Thelma Brooks Estate.  Monty made a motion “no comment”, seconded by Paul, motion carried unanimously.

·        Presented Norm Spackman’s request from Richard Kissinger to have his private road named Raven Haven Lane.  Paul made a motion to approve Raven Haven Lane, seconded by Rich, motion carried unanimously.

·        Presented Municipal Notice from Dana Boob’s office for comments to DEP of General NPDES Permit Application for Stormwater Discharge for Ashford Manor.  No comment.

Zoning Officer

·        Presented Permit Report for April 2004.

·        Discussed some PCI district set backs overlapping.

 

Open Discussion

·        Tom advised the Board a decision needs made whether they want the Penn State land.  After discussion, Tom was told to see what is involved in a DCNR study.

·        Paul asked Tom the status of the logo.  He will check.

·        Rich asked status of painting the inside of the building.  Budd was told to get a couple prices.

·        Bob C. asked if we could get a grant for Decker Valley Road.  Budd said the Dirt & Gravel Road Grant is for that road.

 

Adjourn

·        At 8:03 P.M. Chairman Zerby recessed the regular meeting for work session.  Meeting was reconvened at 9:16 P.M. and adjourned by Chairman Zerby.
