The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

 

Members Present were:   Chad Packer, Philip Orndorf, Chris Hockenberry, Lester Gordon, Dave Keller, Brian Long, Domer Smeltzer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Alvin Spots, Gerald Korman, Kenny Strouse, Jack Muthersbaugh, Amanda Heverly, Michelle Entz, Davis Araujo, Rodney Brungart, Jake Heverly, Scott Koch, Don Pecht, Chuck Solt, Monty Strouse, Paul Young, Gary Phillips, Brian Tice.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Chad Packer, seconded by Domer Smeltzer.  Motion Carried.

December’s ending balance should read, $22,726.73

Insurance Investigation: Don Pecht, Dave Keller, Davis Araujo, Paul Young

Interview: Executive Officers, Trustees.

Mailing for Donations: Chad Packer, Toby Stoner, Chris Hockenberry, Jackie Muthersbaugh, and Chuck Solt.

Membership List: Jack Muthersbaugh, Brian Tice. Still updating, hoping to have it finished by end of year.

5 K Fair Race: Chris Hockenberry, Brian Long, Domer Smeltzer.

5-10 year Plan: Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire Police.

 

 

 

Old Business

Motion made by Dave Keller to sell the tanker to firetech customer for $10,000 (Oklahoma Fire Company) and pay firetech selling fee of $1,000,seconded by Domer Smeltzer. Motion Carried.

 

New Business

Motion made by Chad Packer to donate all the extra hose, fire equipment, portables, pagers, and gear to fire relief, seconded by Brian Long. Motion Carried.

 

Motion made by Don Pecht to purchase 4 new roasters, seconded by Chad Packer. Motion Carried.

 

Kenny Strouse made a motion to accept Forrest Rishel and Douglas Mansells application for probationary status. Company unanimous approved.

 

Motion made by Alvin Spotts for $100 for food for Centre County Fire police meeting, seconded by Chad Packer.

 

Good of the Company

Water hauling will no longer be a public service, if outside the borough place the tanker out of service.

FYI

New rescue tools have arrived and are on demo for us to try out.

 

Crew needed for Milroy standby on Saturday, January 16, 2010.

 

Training

Air pack training, January 25, 2010. Everyone must attend and be signed off by end of February.

 

Driver training- Anyone that is interested in being trained on tanker please see Dave Keller or Phillip Orndorf.
