The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President, Harry Hockenberry at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

 

Members Present were:    Michelle Entz, Chad Entz, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry,  Alvin Spotts, Rodney Brungart, Jake Heverly, Jackie Muthersbaugh,  Don Pecht, Chris Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Brian Tice, Monty Strouse, Brian Long, Les Gordon, Jr. Orndorf and Ryan Sweitzer.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Brian Tice. Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Fundraising: All in the Company. 

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart, Brian Long and Chris Hockenberry.

Grants:    Dave Keller and Toby Stoner.  State Grant due 10/23/09.  Applying for lights and spreader cutter combo.

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,(Chair) Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer, Bob Lair and Steven Crater.  Thank you to all who helped and sold tickets.  Next year’s committee will be Bob Lair, Bill Rockey, Brian Tice, Bryan Packer and Rodney Brungart.  185 through the door, 1200 tickets sold, $7,943.13 profit.  Would like to order guns before January 2010 for next year’s gun raffle.  Would also like to shop around for best prices next year.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

New Business    

 

Tanker needs to be dealt with before winter.  Motion to lower price by $2,000. Made by Chris Hockenberry, seconded by Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

Old White is in the 2nd has of restoration.

 

Nominating committee will be Jake Heverly, Brian Tice and Les Gordon.

 

Motion for Company to do donation mailing made by Les Gordon, seconded by Kenny Strouse.   Motion Carried.

 

Good of the Company-

Drivers needed for Thursday’s Penns Valley Homecoming parade.  Also 414 for Trick or Treat.

 

Motion to adjourn made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Jackie Muthersbaugh.
