Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President, Harry Hockenberry at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.

 

Members Present were:    Michelle Entz, Chad Entz, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry,  Alvin Spotts, Rodney Brungart, Jake Heverly, Jackie Muthersbaugh,  Bill Rockey, Don Pecht, Chris Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Brian Tice, Davis Araujo, Monty Strouse and Ernest Mowery (Centre Hall Borough).

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Fire Tax/TWPMeetings:   Brian Long, Chad Packer.   Fire tax committee members are as follows:  Jake Tanis and Denny Foust, Potter Township; Norma Crater and Harry Henry, Centre Hall Borough; Brian Long and Kenny Strouse, Centre Hall Fire Company.  Kenny Strouse, Chairman.  Norma Crater, Secretary.

5-10 year Plan:  Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire Police.

Building/Property: Brian Long, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse, Harry Hockenberry, Domer Smeltzer, Tim Packer and Monty Strouse. 

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart, Brandon Musser, Jackie Muthersbaugh and Brian Long.  

Website: Les Gordon, Jackie Muthersbaugh.   

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Rodney Brungart.

Fundraising: All in the Company.  Will have profit numbers from fair at next mtg.  Suggestion for a foot race for next year’s fair.

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart, Brian Long and Chris Hockenberry. Going into service tonight.  PLEASE get trained on it.

Grants:    Dave Keller and Toby Stoner. 

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,(Chair) Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer, Bob Lair and Steven Crater.  $2560 ytd deposited. Motion made by Brian Tice to pay remaining balance due on the guns ($5,071), seconded by Alvin Spotts.  Motion carried.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401. 

Membership List:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Brian Tice.  A lot of changes were made at the Fair.  Brian Tice is continuing to work on.

Elections Committee:  Ryan Hockenberry, Les Gordon and Jake Heverly.

Application for Membership: Bill Rockey, Les Gordon and Jackie Muthersbaugh.

Motion to give $50 cards to the three women who worked the most at the Fair chance stand made by Chad Entz, seconded by Alvin Spotts.  Motion Carried.

 

BI-LAW CHANGE.  Third reading.  Motion to approve bi-law change made by Chad Entz, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion Carried.
