Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President, Harry Hockenberry at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2009.

 

Members Present were:    Michelle Entz, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry,  Alvin Spotts, Rodney Brungart, Jake Heverly, Jackie Muthersbaugh,  Bill Rockey, Jr. Orndorf, Brian Long, Don Pecht, Chris Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Norma Crater (Centre Hall Borough) and Ernest Mallory (Centre Hall Borough).

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Executive Committee:  Harry, Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chad Packer, Alvin Spotts and Rodney Brungart.

 Audit:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Norma Crater, Les Gordon, Brian Long. 

Fire Tax/TWPMeetings:   Brian Long, Chad Packer.  Motion made by Alvin Spotts to sign and accept new cooperative agreement between Potter Township, Centre Hall Borough and The Centre Hall Fire Company, seconded by Brian Long.  Motion Carried.  Motion to make Kenny Strouse and Brian Long the CHFC members on the tax committee made by Alvin Spotts, seconded by Jake Heverly.  Motion Carried.

5-10 year Plan:  Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire Police.

Building/Property: Brian Long, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse, Harry Hockenberry, Domer Smeltzer, Tim Packer and Monty Strouse.  Architect Bob Hoffman is working on designs.

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart, Brandon Musser, Jackie Muthersbaugh and Brian Long.  

Website: Les Gordon, Jackie Muthersbaugh.   

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Rodney Brungart.

Fundraising: All in the Company.  Please sign up to work Grange Fair Booth.  Motion to have 3000 more fair raffle tickets printed, made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion Carried

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart, Brian Long and Chris Hockenberry. 

Grants:    Dave Keller and Toby Stoner. 

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,(Chair) Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer, Bob Lair and Steven Crater.  $1250 ytd deposited.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401. 

Membership List:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Brian Tice. 

Elections Committee:  Ryan Hockenberry, Les Gordon and Jake Heverly.

Application for Membership: Bill Rockey, Les Gordon and Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Finished.  The price for new membership is $20.00.

 

Old Business  Motion made by Kenny Strouse to keep old tanker if we don’t get asking price of $12,000 and continue to run it, seconded by Don Pecht.  Motion Carried.

 

New Business    

 

Request for BI-LAW change submitted for second reading.  If anything happens to Chief, Deputy Chief shall take over duties until end of original term.

 

Good of the Company

$500 donation made by VFW Post 9575.

 

 

 

Motion to adjourn made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh.
