Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President, Harry Hockenberry at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

 

Members Present were:    Michelle Entz, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry,  Alvin Spotts, Brian Tice, Rodney Brungart, Jake Heverly, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Packer, Bill Rockey, Scott Floray, Jr. Orndorf, Brian Long, Scott Koch and Don Pecht.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Chad Packer, seconded by Jr. Orndorf.  Motion Carried.

Fire Police Report:  Received phone call requesting fire police for July 23rd Pleasant Gap parade.  July 30th Spring Mills 600 pm.

 

Trustees’ Report: N/A

Committees:

 

Executive Committee:  Harry, Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chad Packer, Alvin Spotts and Rodney Brungart.

 Audit:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Norma Crater, Les Gordon, Brian Long. 

Fire Tax/TWPMeetings:   Brian Long, Chad Packer. 

5-10 year Plan:  Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire Police.

Building/Property: Brian Long, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse, Harry Hockenberry, Domer Smeltzer, Tim Packer and Monty Strouse.

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart, Brandon Musser, Jackie Muthersbaugh and Brian Long.  Will get final profit numbers in August

Website: Les Gordon, Jackie Muthersbaugh.   

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Rodney Brungart.

Fundraising: All in the Company. 

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart, Brian Long and Chris Hockenberry.  Tanker stays put until licensed and inspected.  Once in service, see Jr. or Dave Keller for tanker training/certification.  If you see anything that may need changed, please see Chad Packer.

Grants:    Dave Keller and Toby Stoner.  FEMA Grant was submitted on time.

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,(Chair) Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer, Bob Lair and Steven Crater.  $880 ytd deposited.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401. 

Membership List:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Brian Tice.  Scott Floray makes motion to pay back dues for returning fire fighters, seconded by Jr. Orndorf.  Motion carried.

Elections Committee:  Ryan Hockenberry, Les Gordon and Jake Heverly.

Application for Membership: Bill Rockey, Les Gordon and Jackie Muthersbaugh.  In Progress.

 

 

Old Business   

Motion to set minimum price for old tanker at $12,000, minimum $10,000 made by Chad Packer, seconded by Michelle Entz.  Motion Carried.

 

Shed has been set up.  Stone was donated by Con Stone in Aaronsburg.  Additionally Centre Hall Borough waived permit fee.  Thank you to Don Pecht for spreading stone and working at the site.

 

New Business    

Motion to make fair raffles all cash and $1000.00 grand prize, $500, $250, $100, 50, $25, $25, $25 and $25 ($2,000 total) made by Rodney Brungart, seconded by Brian Long.  Motion carried.  Tickets will be printed this week.  Signup sheet to work in stand will be posted this week.

 

Request for BI-LAW change submitted for first reading.  If anything happens to Chief, Deputy Chief shall take over duties until end of original term.

 

Motion to spend no more on lettering for Tanker (Gold leaf) than $1200. Made by Chad Packer, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion carried.

 

Motion to sell pants from Uniform lawsuit to a buyer at $15.00 a piece for up to 20 then free after that made b y Chad Packer, seconded by Brian Tice.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion to vote in Amanda Heverly as social member made by Chad Packer, seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

Good of the Company

George Smith donated $100.00

Hal and Molly Kunkel donated $200.00

 

Chief needs a driver for Saturday the 18th, 1030-1130 at Fairgrounds to give kids rides.

 

On Stand-by for Pleasant Gap parade Thursday night 23rd.

 

Milroy parade is 25th, Chief wants some apparatus taken for parade.
