The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President, Harry Hockenberry at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

 

Members Present were:    Michelle Entz, Chad Entz, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry,  Alvin Spotts, Gerald Korman, Brian Tice, Rodney Brungart, Jake Heverly, Les Gordon, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Toby Stoner, Monty Strouse, Bill Rockey, Davis Araujo.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Brian Tice, seconded by Les Gordon.  Motion Carried.

Committees:

 

Executive Committee:  Harry, Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chad Packer, Alvin Spotts and Rodney Brungart.

 Audit:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Norma Crater, Les Gordon, Brian Long. 

Fire Tax/TWPMeetings:   Brian Long, Chad Packer.  Met with Potter Township.  They still have questions and concerns.  Their attorney is looking over agreement.  The next meeting is June 17th.  Would like to have the Treasurer attend.

5-10 year Plan:  Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire Police.

Building/Property: Brian Long, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse, Harry Hockenberry, Domer Smeltzer, Tim Packer and Monty Strouse.

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart, Brandon Musser, Jackie Muthersbaugh and Brian Long.  Approx profit $10,000.

Website: Les Gordon, Jackie Muthersbaugh.   Going well.

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Rodney Brungart.

Fundraising: All in the Company.  Townwide yard sale 6/26/09.

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart, Brian Long and Chris Hockenberry.  Tanker will be done July 6th.  Need to have town meeting for July 8th to announce the purchase.  Salesman will bring from Gettysburg, PA

Grants:    Dave Keller and Toby Stoner.  FEMA Grant for remodeling and construction of station is opening.  Neet to get together with the building committee.  Opens this week, deadline is July 10th.  $210 million, $15 million per applicant.  Going to look into getting someone to help with the grant.

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,(Chair) Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer, Bob Lair and Steven Crater. 

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401. 

Membership List:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Brian Tice.  Social list is finished.

Elections Committee:  Ryan Hockenberry, Les Gordon and Jake Heverly.

Application for Membership: Bill Rockey, Les Gordon and Jackie Muthersbaugh.  In Progress.

 Motion to purchase a tri-axle load of 2RC to place shed on land made by Rodney Brungart, seconded by Brian Tice.  Motion carried.

 

Motion to keep tanker loan at $240,000 made by Kenny Strouse, seconded by Davis Araujo.  Motion carried.

 

Old tanker will be advertised for sale.
