The monthly meeting
of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President, Harry Hockenberry at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2009.

Fire Police Report: They were no Fire Police Only calls this month. 472 is Willard Muthersbaugh, 473 Bill Rockey and 474 Gerald Korman.
Trustees’ Report: Brenda Kim from the Office of Aging called and they received a grant to replace the stove and the chairs.
All doors in the fire hall were painted by Bill Meckley.
All lock combinations have been changed.
The bathrooms need to be finished.

Meeting was held. Township needs a letter asking for reimbursement for $500 for last year’s Fire Prevention Material and $500 for this year’s. Secretary will draft and send. Work session will be at the end of March.

year Plan: Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire
Police.
Committee
met. Drafting 5-10 year plan for
meeting.
Building/Property: Brian Long, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse, Harry Hockenberry, Domer Smeltzer, Tim Packer and
Monty Strouse.
Committee met. Met with Bob Hoffman, a local architect. He gave proposal for preliminary work. 1st Phase $6500. He wants to do a four hour work session to go over the details of the building, etc.

Fire prevention activities grant, closes March 30. Les Gordon spoke with an assistant chief from McConnellstown, and they have agreed to come and help us with writing som proposals. They’ve received grants every year in past years.

Tickets are printed and ready to sell.
Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401. Meeting scheduled for tonight.

Application for Membership: Bill Rockey, Les Gordon and Jackie Muthersbaugh. Meeting will be scheduled.
Old
Business
Committee looked at used sheds. Not an option. A new shed would be $4100.
Jack has found a company that will apply for the 501C3 number (charity group) for a fee of $3900. Motion to pay fee to obtain number made by Chad Entz, seconded by Les Gordon. Motion Carried.
New Business
Application from Donnie Tice for active membership. Membership denied, lives too far over boundary. Letter will be sent.
Application from Ryan Sweitzer unanimously approved for active member. Will have one year probationary period.
Good of the Company
Training dates for CPR Recert done over Spring Break at CHFC during Monday Night worknight.
