Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by Vice President Jackie Muthersbaugh at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.

 

Members Present were:    Chad Entz,  Willard Muthersbaugh, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz,  Rodney Brungart, Philip Ordorf, Alvin Spotts, Brian Tice, Ryan Hockenberry, Gerald Korman, Steven Crater, Bob Lair, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry, Don Pecht, Brian Long and Bill Rockey.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by, Willard Muthersbaugh seconded by Harry Hockenberry.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Beginning Balance:             32,062.05            Expenses:              $2,001.85 Pump tests

Outflows:                                - 5,261.87                                            $481.68 Utilities

Inflows:                                   24,154.90            Income:                  $21,170.49State Grant

Ending Balance                     50,955.08

 

Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report made by Brian Tice, seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Trustee’s Report: Received call from Office of Aging regarding the fee increase.  They will submit fees to the county commissioners.  We need estimate for grab bars and installation in bathrooms, county will pay for them.

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart.  Having a final specs meeting on Tanker with US Tanker on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.  Purchase was approved by Borough and Township.

Financial Committee:  N/A

Grants:    Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Dennis McCloskey, Rodney Brungart.  Grant of $21,000 came in which will be used for fire gear.

Nominations:  N/A

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  Need all tickets turned in by October 15th.  Voluteers needed for Saturday, October 18th.  Will have sign up sheet for Friday and Saturday.  Also need Fire Police to patrol fence and road.  Will be ordering wrist bands for admittance plus tickets.

Legion: Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Entz.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Membership:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chris Hockenberry & Chad Packer.

Motion to purchase gift cards for 3 women for working the stand at the fair made by Harry Hockenberry, seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.
