Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2008.

 

Members Present were:   Chris Hockenberry, Chad Entz,  Willard Muthersbaugh,, Kenny Strouse, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz,  Davis Araujo, Josh Araujo, Rodney Brungart, Philip Ordorf, Alvin Spotts, Bryan Packer, Ryan Hockenberry, Gerald Korman, Scott Koch and Gary Phillips.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by, Rodney Brungart, seconded by Chad.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

The Following are corrections to last month’s totals:

Engines were pump tested 414 was great, 413 Barely passed and 412 passed.  Next Monday night, clean out downtown station in preparation of the fair.  Move gear in Wednesday or Thursday.

                                                           

                                                  

Fire Police Report:  3 Calls  6 Manhours

 

Trustee’s Report: Received call from senior citizens.  The floor and oven were too dirty.  Fire Tax Committee asked for estimates to remodel kitchen, front engine room and ceiling tile for meeting room.

 

Committees:

 

Executive Committee:  Chad Packer Kenny Strouse, Jack Muthersbaugh, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Willard Muthersbaugh, Gerald Korman

Audit:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Norma Crater, Les Gordon, Brian Long. 

Fire Tax/TWPMeetings:   Brian Long, Chad Packer, Kenny Strouse, Alvin Spotts, Jack Muthersbaugh. At last meeting Township and Borough agreed to pay the heating bills and the insurance for the fire hall.  They also want to start moving ahead with the land plans.

5-10 year Plan:  Executive Officers, Trustees

Building/Property: Alvin Spotts, Willard Muthersbaugh, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse & Brian Long.

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Ryan Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart and Steven Crater.

Website: Denny McCloskey, Brian Long, Les Gordon, Harry Hockenberry & Don Pecht. 

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Ryan Hockenberry. 

Fundraising: Ryan Hockenberry, Davis Araujo, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf Jr., Jackie Muthersbaugh.    Still gathering prizes for Grange Fair raffle.  Shorts order available and the Grange Fair shirts are in.  If members want some, Ryan will put a separate order in.  Prices are as follows:  Sm-XL $12.00, XXL Up $15.00, and members $10.00.

Bi-Laws: N/A

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart.  

Financial Committee:  N/A

Grants:    Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Dennis McCloskey, Rodney Brungart.  Grant of $21,000 came in which will be used for fire gear.

Nominations:  N/A

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  Guns were paid for.  Give Jack any raffle money from the chance stand.

Legion: Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Entz.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Membership:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chris Hockenberry & Chad Packer.

 

Unfinished Business:

The letters to Office of Aging and Voter Registration for fee increase will be going out.

 

Motion to pay bill for uniforms at the end of 30 days made by Chad Entz and seconded by Ryan Hockenberry.  Motion Carried.

 

Gerald Korman asked that you please abide by the no parking between signs in the front of the station.

Kellie Brungart voted in unanimously as a social member.
