Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2008.

 

Members Present were:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Chad Entz,  Harry Hockenberry, Willard Muthersbaugh,,  Brian Long, Kenny Strouse, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz,  Davis Araujo, Josh Araujo, Rodney Brungart, Steven Crater,  Dave Keller, Jake Heverly and Jackie Muthersbaugh, Philip Ordorf, Brian Tice, Donald Pecht, Anastacia Winisko, Alvin Spotts, Les Gordon and Brandon Musser.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by, Chad Entz, seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Beginning Balance:          $17,899.53            Expenses Included:              $82.00 Veh. Fuel

Fundraising: Ryan Hockenberry, Davis Araujo, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf Jr., Jackie Muthersbaugh. Townwide profit $3900.  Need more help next year.  Motion made by Chad Entz to spend $1000 on shirts with Grange Fair and Fire Co logo to sell at Grange Fair, seconded by Harry Hockenberry. Motion Carried.   Motion made by Chad Entz to spend $1000 on blue and gray Fire Company shirts to sell, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion Carried.

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  Motion to pay off $1980 to Ports to pay the balance for the gun raffle made by Chris Hockenberry, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion Carried.

Legion: Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Entz.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Membership:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chris Hockenberry & Chad Packer.

 

Unfinished Business:

Motion to send letter to election’s office for voter’s registration to increase fee for rental of Fire Hall from $75.00 to $150 made by Harry Hockenberry, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion to send letter to Senior Citizens to increase rental fee from $150 to $300 made by Les Gordon, seconded by Dave Keller.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion to increase station rental from $50.00 to $100 made by Chad Entz, seconded by Rodney Brungart.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion to charge members $25.00 fee for station rental made by Chad Entz, seconded by Alvin Spotts.  Motion Carried.

 

August 5, 2008 at 8:00 am is the hearing on the uniform situation in Bellefonte.

Tuesday night, July 15, 2008 Boalsburg is holding a structural burn class with approx. 5 openings.  If interested, call Station 3.
