The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting. 

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2008.

 

Members Present were:  Chad Packer, Philip Orndorf,, Kenny Strouse, Michelle Entz,  Chad Entz, Ryan Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,  Jake Wenzinger, Gerald Korman, Brian Long, Willard Muthersbaugh, Alvin Spotts, Jack Muthersbaugh, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Steven Crater, Monty Strouse, Davis Araujo, Josh Araujo, Jake Heverly, Bryan Packer, Tim Packer, Brian Tice, Les Gordon and Tom Stoner.

 

Secretary’s Report:

 

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by, Ryan Hockenberry, seconded by, Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry,  Ryan Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart and Steven Crater.  Need raffle prizes. Need to print raffle tickets beginning of April.  Motion to purchase snow blower at $500 for Fair raffle made by Rodney Brungart, seconded by Brian Long.  Motion carried.

Website: Denny McCloskey, Brian Long, Les Gordon, Harry Hockenberry & Don Pecht.

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Ryan Hockenberry.  Banquet went well.  Next year’s date 2/28/08.  Need to book dj and speaker.

Fundraising: Ryan Hockenberry, Davis Araujo, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf Jr., Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Move hoagie sale to April 10-12th.

Bi-Laws: N/A

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart.  Sent specs to 4 different companies for quotes.

Financial Committee:  N/A

Grants:    Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Dennis McCloskey, Rodney Brungart.  Need to come up with lists of stuff needed.  FEMA grant is open.  Tools needed.  Forestry grant also open.  Motion to match $1000 for foresty grant towards tools made by Toby Stoner, seconded by Ryan Hockenberry.  Motion carried.

Nominations:  N/A

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  1099 tickets have been handed out.

Legion: Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Entz.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Membership:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chris Hockenberry & Chad Packer.

 

Unfinished Business:

 

40 people were fitted for uniforms.  They will be in 3-4 weeks.  Executive committee will make SOPs for expected times to wear uniform.

 

Bathrooms need to be painted, flooring installed and vanities installed.

 

Will have order forms for sweatshirts and t-shirts next week.

 

New Business:

Motion to buy a trickle charger for generator at $30.00 made by Jake Heverly, seconded by Chad Entz.  Motion carried.

 

Good of the Company:

 

$274 Donation from the banquet was made on behalf of Shannon Smeltzer to PAWS.

 

New box map was hung.
