Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2008.

 

Members Present were:  Chad Packer,  Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf, Dave Keller, Chad Entz, Brian Long, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Monty Strouse, Davis Araujo, Josh Araujo, Rodney Brungart, Steven Crater,  Jake Heverly, Tim Packer, Don Pecht, Toby Stoner, Brian Tice, Jake Wenzinger and Denny McCloskey.

 

 

Secretary’s Report:

Add Brian Tice to last month’s minutes, he was in attendance.

 

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Chad Packer, seconded by Ryan Hockenberry.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Trustee’s Report:  The hole in the bathroom ceiling has been temporarily fixed.

Building/Property: Alvin Spotts, Willard Muthersbaugh, Jack Muthersbaugh, Harry Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse & Brian Long. If anyone has any input please let committee know.

Interview:   Executive Officers, Trustees

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry,  Ryan Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart and Steven Crater.  Carnival starts June 3rd, June 4th is buddy night with a dj, June 5th, Elvis Impersonator, June 6th Fireworks, and June 7th Slabtown, parade at 400 pm.

Website: Denny McCloskey, Brian Long, Les Gordon, Harry Hockenberry & Don Pecht.  Everyone has fire company email.  If you don’t want it please let Denny McCloskey know.

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Ryan Hockenberry. 

Fundraising: Ryan Hockenberry, Davis Araujo, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf Jr., Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Hoagie sale April 3rd and 5th.

Bi-Laws: N/A

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart.  Need specs for new tanker.

Financial Committee:  N/A

Grants:    Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Dennis McCloskey, Rodney Brungart.  Keep checking for grant to come through by direct deposit.  Need a list of things needed in company so when grants come up, they can apply.

Nominations:  N/A

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  Tickets available for sale now, please turn money and tickets into Jack each meeting night.

Legion: Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Entz.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Membership:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chris Hockenberry & Chad Packer.

 

Unfinished Business: N/A

 

New Business:

 

Uniform measurements for shirts and pants, Ryan will set up for a Monday night.

 

Bathrooms will get new floors which are being donated along with two new faucets.  Motion to pay for two vanities at $90 per vanity made by Brian Long, seconded by Philip Orndorf.  Motion carried.

 

Will do 50/50 at banquet to donate to PAWS in memory of Shannon Smeltzer.

 

Oil is back on automatic.  JJ Powell will allow monthly payment year round.  Will shop around for next year.

Prices on adding some new graphics and touching up some torn ones is $330.  Motion to approve graphics made by Brian Long, seconded by Dave Keller.  Motion carried.

Gerald Korman sent thank you for the flowers and well wishes.
