The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting. 

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2008.

 

Members Present were:  Chad Packer, Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf,, Gary Phillips,  Kenny Strouse, Michelle Entz,  Chad Entz, Ryan Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,  Jake Wenzinger, Gerald Korman, Brian Long, Willard Muthersbaugh, Alvin Spotts, Jack Muthersbaugh, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Steven Crater, Harry Hockenberry.

 

Secretary’s Report:

 

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by, Chad Packer, seconded by, Chris Hockenberry.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report made by Chad Packer, seconded by Chad Entz.  Motion Carried.

406 Will become an assistant chief’s position, 407 will become a captain’s position and 440 is being added as Safety Accountability Officer.  Brian Long is being appointed to the 440 position.

 

1st Monday’s of the month will be used for maintenance.  The second Monday will be used for training.

 

Fire Police Report:  2 Calls  5 Manhours.

 

Trustee’s Report:

Hole in bathroom ceiling needs to be fixed.

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry,  Ryan Hockenberry, Jack Muthersbaugh, Rodney Brungart and Steven Crater.  Meeting will be set up.

Website: Denny McCloskey, Brian Long, Les Gordon, Harry Hockenberry & Don Pecht.

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz and Ryan Hockenberry.  Motion to approve $300 for carnival prizes, center pieces and any extras made by Chad Entz, seconded by Ryan Hockenberry.  Motion Carried.

Fundraising: Ryan Hockenberry, Davis Araujo, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf Jr., Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Hoagie sale February 7th & 9th.

Bi-Laws: N/A

Apparatus:  Chad Entz, Philip Orndorf, Ryan Hockenberry, Kenny Strouse, Rodney Brungart.

Financial Committee:  N/A

Grants:    Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Dennis McCloskey, Rodney Brungart.

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  Motion to pay $1950 for down payment to order guns made by Rodney Brungart, seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Legion: Kenny Strouse, Chad Packer, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Chad Entz.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Membership:  Jack Muthersbaugh, Michelle Entz, Chris Hockenberry & Chad Packer.

 

Unfinished Business:

Sell leftover sausage patties, bacon and potatoes from Breakfast with Santa for $2.00 per lb for sausage, $1.00 per pack of bacon and $1.00 per bag for potatoes.

 

Motion for the next hoagie sales profit’s to pay for uniforms at $63.00 per person made by Chad Entz, seconded by Chad Packer. Motion Carried.  Each person will be responsible for the $8.95 name tag.

 

 

New Business:

Motion to give $150 to the Fire Police for the Centre County Meeting for the meal made by Chad Entz, seconded by Chad Packer. Motion Carried.

 

Good of the Company:

 

Rodney Brungart voted in unanimously as active after one year of probation.

 

Motion to adjourn made by Jack Muthersbaugh seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh, Motion carried.
