Monthly Meeting Minutes

The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting. 

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 9, 2007.

 

Members Present were:  Chad Packer, Dave Keller, Chris Hockenberry, Philip Orndorf,, Gary Phillips,  Kenny Strouse, Michelle Entz,  Chad Entz, Ryan Hockenberry, Rodney Brungart,  Jake Wenzinger, Brandon Musser, Gerald Korman, Jake Heverly, Monty Strouse and Josh Araujo.

 

Secretary’s Report:

 

Correction to September 11, 2007 minutes:  Harry Hockenberry was present at meeting.

 

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by, Chad Packer, seconded by, Chad Entz.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Fire Police Report:  4 Calls  10 Manhours.

Fire Police are having a review Hazmat Awareness class, Monday, October 15th at the Logan’s in Bellefonte.  It is a 4 hour class and the test will be October 21st.

 

Trustee’s Report:

 Lights were fixed in the Engine room.  Toilet in the Men’s room fixed.  With cold weather approaching, windows and doors need to be closed.  If you see anything that needs to be done, please put note in one of the trustees boxes.

 

Committees:

Executive Committee:  N/A

Audit:  N/A

Fire Tax:  Committee decided to leave extra money in account for now in case of any emergencies that should arise.

5-10 year Plan:  N/A

Building/Property: Need to set meeting up this month.

Interview:   N/A

Carnival:  Chad Packer, Ryan Hockenberry, Brandon Musser, Rodney Brungart and Josh Araujo.

Banquet: N/A

Fundraising: Hoagie Sale October 22nd.  Wednesday prep.

Bi-Laws: N/A

Financial Committee:  N/A

Grants:    State Grant for Air Packs should be coming any day.

Nominations:  Jackie Muthersbaugh and Phillip Orndorf.

Gun Raffle:  Harry Hockenberry, Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer.  Will meet and look into feasibility.

 

Unfinished Business:  N/A

 

New Business:

 

Will look into new uniforms for parades, events, etc.  Also need to order more Fire Company apparel.  Ryan Hockenberry looking into.

 

Good of the Company:

 

Training site now open. 

 

October 29th, November 3rd & 4th, Agricultural Rescue Training at Station 4. 8-5 pm $150 per person.  Department of Agriculture sends $100 back at completion of class.

 

Fire Prevention went well at elementary school.  Will ask municipalities to put fire prevention money into their budgets for next year.

 

Monday October 15th, Allegheny Power holding training class 6-8 pm in State College.  Asking for 2 people from each company to attend.
