The pledge of allegiance was said before the start of the meeting.

 

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Kenny Strouse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 11, 2010.

 

Members Present were: Chad Packer, Brian Tice, Chris Hockenberry, Alvin Spotts, Monty Strouse, Jon Ayers, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Dillion Murphy, Brian Long, Les Gordon, Gerald Korman, Davis Araujo, Rodney Brungart, Steven Crater, Jack Muthersbaugh, Kenny Strouse, Phillip Orndorf, Chris Hockenberry, Don Pecht, Dave Keller, Amanda Heverly, Mike Dixon, Davis Araujo.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Motion to approve secretary’s report made by Brian Tice, seconded by Chad Packer.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

April’s ending balance should read, $13,980.19

 

Beginning Balance: 14,696.04       Expenses:      223.06 Meat for sandwiches

May 29th at 9:00 a.m. Legion is having a volleyball competiton. Truck is needed to rinse down volleyball area.

 

Fire Police Report: Sign up sheet for parade is listed.

 

Trustees Report: Weeds need taken care of outside of fire hall. Lights also need replaced.

 

Committees:

 Antique Apparatus: Jake Heverly, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse.

Audit: Jack Muthersbaugh, Norma Crater, Lester Gordon, Brian Long.

Banquet: Chad Entz, Michelle Entz, Rodney Brungart.

Building/Property: Brian Long, Don Pecht, Kenny Strouse, Harry Hockenberry, Domer Smeltzer, Tim Packer and Monty Strouse.

Carnival: Chad Packer, Chris Hockenberry, Jack Mutherbaugh, Rodney Brungart, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Brian Long, Brian Tice, Ashley Packer.-Carnival- June 8-12th. Parade June12th at 5:00. All stands are full. Cake Auction will be held at carnival.

Elections Committee: Lester Gordon, Jake Heverly, Brian Tice.

Executive Committee: Kenny Strouse, Bill Rockey, Jack Muthersbaugh, Amanda Heverly, Chad Packer, Alvin Spotts and Monty Strouse.

Fire Fighter of the Year: President, 400 & 401.

Fire Tax/TWP Meeting: Brian Long, Kenny Strouse.

Fundraising: All in the Company. – Received $225.00 from mail outs so far.

Grants: Dave Keller and Toby Stoner. PHIMA grant has opened up

Gun Raffle: Bill Rockey, Bryan Packer, Bob Lair, Brian Tice, Phillip Orndorf. October 2nd.

Insurance Investigation: Don Pecht, Dave Keller, Davis Araujo, Paul Young, Denny Foust.- Got estimates from 4 different companies. 1. Provident Agency Inc- New Cumberland, PA. 2. Central Insurance Group 3. Frost & Conn- State College, PA. 4. Keystone Group- State College (Current Group)- Best Offer.

Interview: Executive Officers, Trustees.

Mailing for Donations: Chad Packer, Toby Stoner, Chris Hockenberry, Jackie Muthersbaugh, and Chuck Solt. – Were sent out.

Membership List: Jack Muthersbaugh, Brian Tice. Sending letters to members.

5-10 year Plan: Executive Officers, Chiefs, Trustees and Fire Police.

 

Motion made by Chad Packer to leave insurance the same, Seconded by Les Gordon. Motion Carried.

 

Old Business:

No reply from Brandon Musser. Actions will be taken by Tom Jordan if there is no response.

 

New Business:

New Bylaws changes will be made in the near future.    

 

Operation save a life PA was granted. There are 204 smoke detectors in shed. They will be put in houses to elderly, low income families and families with children, etc.

 

Good of the Company:

Thank you to Robert Long and Alan Packer for the tickets for the carnival.

 

June 5th- Fire truck asked to go out to Bestline motorcycle place for open house to sell food.

 

June’s meeting will be changed to June 15th due to carnival.

 

Motion to adjourn meeting made by Alvin Spotts, seconded by Davis Araujo.
