Monthly Meeting Minutes

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was brought to order by President Scott Floray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 14, 2005.

 

Members Present:  Chad Entz, Scott Floray, Justin Gray, Richard Hart, Chris Hockenberry, Harry Hockenberry, Ryan Hockenberry, Scott Koch, Gerald Korman, Brian Long, Jack Muthersbaugh, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Willard Muthersbaugh, Philip Orndorf, Jr., Autumn Packer, Chad Packer, Don Pecht, Domer Smeltzer, Tom Stoner, Brandy Stoner, Tom Stoner, Jr., and Kelly Strouse.

 

Motion to approve Secretaries report as read made by Willard Muthersbaugh and seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr.  Motion Carried.

Motion to approve Treasurer’s report made by Autumn Packer and seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Fire Police Report- 3 Calls with 9 man-hours.

 

Trustees Report

 

Some of the estimates have come back for the replacement of the down spouting.  Still waiting for rest of estimates.  All seem to be higher that what we expected.

 

 

Committee Reports:

 

SOG- No report

Fund Raising- Town Wide Yard Sale 6/23 and 6/24- Help will be needed at station both days.

Funds Procurement- No report

Grant- No report

Carnival- Please sign up for whatever stand you plan on working in for the carnival.

Apparatus- No report

Plaque- No report

By-Law- The third and final reading was performed of the By-Laws.  Motion to put By-Laws in to effect immediately made by Willard Muthersbaugh and seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr.  Motion carried by a 18-1 vote by the company.

Land/Building- Motion made by Willard Muthersbaugh to approve and sign a sales option agreement and to eventually purchase land with a $5000.00 down payment, seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr.  Motion Carried.

 

 

Unfinished Business

 

The 1st order for baskets for the upcoming basket bingo has been made.

 

New Business

 

The following individuals were voted unanimously by the executive committee into the Centre Hall Fire Company as Junior Firefighters:

 

Robert McClenahan Jr.

Kelly Strouse

Thomas Stoner, Jr.

Brandy S. Stoner

 

Motion made accept Thomas Newman into the company as a social member made by Chad Packer and seconded by Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

A discussion was held regarding changing the dates of our annual carnival due to the availability of Bartlebaugh Amusements for the 2nd week of June.  The Grange Fairgrounds are available for that week for the next 3 years.  A motion to move our carnival dates to the 2nd week of June and enter into contract with Bartlebaugh Amusements for the next three years was made by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr. and seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

A motion was made by Chad Entz to replace the down spouting on the station ourselves for a cost of no more than $1000.00.  Motion seconded by Chad Packer.  Motion Carried.

 

A Motion was made by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr. to put all money from ice sales, parade winning and public service donations into a Entertainment Account.  Motion seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion the pay $319.00 for attorney’s fees for the land agreement made by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr., and seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

Good of the Company

 

Wynwood House Open House- June 30th.


Reminder- Water Hauling prices are $35.00 for residential and $50.00 for commercial. 

 

There will be a training session at the Centre Hall Elementary School on 6/18.   Motion made by Willard Muthersbaugh to purchase food for lunch not exceeding a cost of $50.00.  Seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh, Sr.  Motion Carried.
