Monthly Meeting Minutes

The monthly meeting of the Centre Hall Fire Company was called to order by President Scott Floray at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday February 8, 2005.

 

Members Present:  Chad Entz, Scott Floray, Lester Gordon, Justin Gray, Richard Hart, Chris Hockenberry, Harry Hockenberry, Ryan Hockenberry, Dave Keller, Gerald Korman, Brian Long, Brandon Musser, Jack Muthersbaugh, Jackie Muthersbaugh, Willard Muthersbaugh, Ryan Newman, Autumn Packer, Chad Packer, Don Pecht, Gary Phillips, Alvin Spotts, Toby Stoner.

 

Motion to approve Secretaries report as read was made by Chad Packer, seconded by Jack Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

 

Treasurers Report as follows:

Fire Police Report-

7 Calls with 14 man-hours.

 

Trustees Report:

The new TV and VCR for the lounge are here and have been installed.  Trustees are to check on prices for replacement windows for the rear engine bay due to major heat loss coming from that area.

 

 

 

Committee Reports:

 

SOG- no report

Fund Raising- Shrimp Feed’s are 3rd Friday of each month.  Help is always needed.

Funds Procurement- no report

Grant Committee- Applications are being worked on.

Carnival- no report

Apparatus- no report

Banquet- Menu discussed and decided on.  Motion made by Willard Muthersbaugh to hire DJ for entertainment after meal.  Seconded by Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

Plaque- Awards to be given out at banquet are ordered.  Motion made by Scott Floray to purchase Firefighter of the Year plaques for people who never got them in past years.  Motion Seconded by Willard Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.

By-Law-

Land Acquisition/Building- Committee will be meeting soon.

 

Unfinished Business-

Gift Card for Rich Hosterman has been purchased and will be sent to him by Jack Muthersbaugh.

 

New Business-

 

Motion made to purchase a total of 50 knit hats with Company Logo on them by Ryan Hockenberry.  Motion seconded by Jackie Muthersbaugh.  Motion Carried.  35 Hats are pre-sold to members, the remainder will be sold at shrimp feeds and any one who missed the order form.

 

There will be a Haz-Mat Training on February 15th at 7:00 held at Station 3. 

 

Good of the Company

Dave Keller announced that there is an order form for Vehicle Magnets that say “Firefighters Save Lives”.  Proceeds benefit a local Relay for Life Team.

 

Chad Packer is requesting that whenever apparatus is being backed in the station or on an incident, that a spotter for the driver always be present.
